| Colleen L. Carter, DVM
Dr.
Carter was raised in Morris, IL on a working farm. In 1986 she
graduated "magna cum laude" with a Bachelor's degree in biology and
chemistry from North Central College in Naperville, IL. She earned her
veterinary degree, "with honors" from the University of Illinois
College of Veterinary Medicine. Besides practicing veterinary medicine,
she has bred, trained and exhibits her American Saddlebred horses, has
been veterinary judge for competitive and endurance horse rides, and
has judged academy shows. She loves to encourage young people to do
anything with horses. Dr. Carter is the wife of Dr.
Richard Silverstein (Heritage Animal Hospital, Maple Grove, MN) and mom
to Sarah and Jacob. Her hobbies include showing and training her
American Saddlebred horses, reading and keeping up
with Dr. Silverstein and the kids.
